Artist Statement

As an artist, I have limited myself because I was afraid of being perceived as something short of being who I am. I create pieces that highlight my emotions and interests. I believe everything does not have to be cohesive, just visually striking. My work centers on the space I as a fat black women take up unapologetically. It allows me to exist without expectations.
